Once a year, the Wellington Section heads to Temple Basin for a long weekend of ice and mixed climbing in the Southern Alps. Based out of the lodge at Arthurs Pass, it's a chance to get into serious alpine terrain with a good crew around you. Routes of all grades are accessible straight from the door, and the shared meals and late evenings make it as much a social fixture as a climbing one. Numbers are limited, so it fills quickly.
Remember, this is a meet not a trip, so objectives and routes will be self-selected by smaller groups. There will not be centralised planning beyond accommodation and transport.
